H.G. Hill Realty and  Southeast Ventures announced they will be working together to develop a building in 12 South to include 67 luxury apartments and over 4,000 square feet of retail space. The building will be set on 0.82 acres set beside 12 South Taproom where Middle Tennessee Roofing Company previously was located (2310 12th Avenue S).

Construction is expected to begin by April 2012 with completion expected by Spring 2013. Although this will fill a need in 12 South of more living accommodations, not everyone is happy about it. Rumours Wine Bar is closing on February 4, 2012 due to the unexpected construction beginning soon after. The wine bar will either relocate or close it’s 12 South location permanently.
